Resident Research

Clinical research is a supported and important activity at our medical center. We now offer a research course through the Division of Research (the largest non-University based epidemiology research group in the country). This course prepares residents in aspects of clinical research from grant writing to statistical and publishing techniques

We are located near the Kaiser Division of Research (http://www.dor.kaiser.org/) and have on site mentors available. Our residents may complete a clinical research project or other scholarly pursuit during their residency. Four-week research blocks are available each year. Residents present case reports and research at the American College of Physicians (ACP) Regional conference as well as at various National sub-specialty conferences. We financially support our residents presenting at conferences.
