Residents on retreat and cooking up a storm!
What our residents are saying:

I feel very lucky that our program directors are very responsive to our needs and take our concerns and suggestions seriously. Many of the improvements in our program have been resident-initiated. My wonderful co-residents really make this program what it is, a great place to train—PGY2

I am very proud to have trained at Kaiser-Oakland. I felt we had an excellent level of supervision but with increasing autonomy that prepared me for my current practice—Recent grad

One of the unique things about our program is our "training pairs". Each intern is paired with a third year resident for the first six months. They do everything together: run the Board, take call, scrub in the OR. As an intern, it was great to always have someone available for questions and assistance. As a third year, it has made me a better teacher and helped me re-focus on the basics. Even after the first six months, your training pair continues to be a source of support and friendship.
