Podiatric Surgery at Hayward
The Podiatric
Surgical Residency Program in Hayward is a PM&S-36. The residents
spend three years at the facility. There is one position per year.
The first year of training is primarily spent completing the required
rotations, including: radiology, internal medicine, pathology, general
and vascular surgery, anesthesia and emergency medicine. The second
and third years are spent managing a busy clinic schedule as well
as spending time in the OR assisting in podiatric surgery. Surgical
training is comprised of forefoot, rearfoot, ankle, pediatrics and
trauma.
Residents also participate in monthly journal club, lecture series,
and podiatry grand rounds.
