Residency Selection Process - Kaiser Hayward
We receive files of students that have applied to our Podiatric surgical residency program from AACPM. Dr. Lauri McDaniel, Dr. Jeffrey Karlin, Dr. Glenn Weinraub and Dr. John Stienstra go through those files and choose about 20 students to interview. The criteria is based on GPA, passing part 1 of the national boards, letters of recommendation, and activities in school, etc. These 20 are then invited to interview at the CRIP weekend in LA. There they are given a 20 minute interview by 3 or 4 of GSAA podiatrists. They are then ranked in order of our preference and this list is sent into the central matching service CASPR.
