Rotation Schedule

PGY 1

7 months - Podiatric Surgery and podiatric outpatient clinic
2 months - Internal Medicine
1 month - Anesthesia
1 month – Plastic surgery
1 month – Orthopedics
Medical Imaging integrated with Medicine rotation morning rounds with radiologist and joint Orthopedic, sports medicine and Podiatry monthly radiology rounds with radiologist.

PGY 2

9 months – Podiatric Surgery and podiatric outpatient clinic
1 week –Infectious disease
2 weeks – Rheumatology
2 weeks – Vascular surgery
2 weeks – Pathology
2 weeks – Emergency Medicine
2 weeks – General surgery

Behavioral medicine rotation being developed.

PGY 3

11 months – Podiatric Surgery and Podiatric outpatient clinic
1 month – Elective (Generally used for office based experience at a private practice)

Chief Resident will participate in monthly pediatric foot clinic
All core rotations are done at Kaiser Santa Clara except 3rd year elective.

All Residents participate in: Monthly journal club
Monthly Problem patient clinic
Monthly podiatric case review
Weekly Ortho, Sports med., and podiatric joint Grand Rounds
Monthly joint Vascular surgery / Podiatry Rounds
