Mary Yang, MD, Chief Resident 2008-2009

Mary grew up in Pittsburgh, PA and attended Carnegie Mellon University. After graduating from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, she came to the bay area to join her husband. Now that she is here in California, she can’t imagine how she survived all those East Coast winters. Mary also has a master’s degree in health care policy and management. On her spare time, she enjoys running, reading, hiking and spending time with her husband.

 

Jessica Murphy, DO, Chief Resident 2008-2009

Jessica is a California South Bay native, born at Kaiser Permanente Santa Clara. In order to explore life outside of California, she went for her Undergraduate training in the Philadelphia area at Villanova University, where she received a Bachelor of Science in Biology, a Bachelor of Science, Honors as well as a minor in French. She returned to California for medical school at Western University of Health Sciences and earned the degree of Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine. She was happy to return to the South Bay for residency, and married her college sweetheart, Michael. Jessica loves to spend time with her family, friends, and yellow lab, Dylan. She also plays the Viola, and enjoys any outdoor activity, especially at the beach.
