Obstetrics & Gynecology at San Francisco
Welcome
The
Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Program at Kaiser Permanente
San Francisco would like to welcome you to our program website.
Our program fills four PGY-1 positions each year. Our program is
approved by the Residency Review Committee for Obstetrics and Gynecology
as a four-year structured educational experience. Our program is
clinically oriented and active with rapid patient turnover. A staff
physician is on duty in the hospital at all times to provide residents
with supervision and immediate consultation. The program has a full-time
staff of 20 Obstetrician/Gynecologists with excellent representation
in all areas of subspecialization including:
- Maternal-Fetal Medicine
- Gynecologic Oncology
- Reproductive Endocrinology
- Urogynecologic/Pelvic Floor Surgery
From our Program Director:
We are strongly committed to providing graded
responsibility for residents as they progress through our program
caring for their patients. These patients reflect broadly diverse
ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds, including those of economic
disadvantage. The abundant clinical and surgical experience our
program provides is augmented by an active academic teaching program.
This teaching program is designed to foster a sense of intellectual
curiosity and to stimulate residents to develop the life long learning
habits needed to master the evolving information necessary for providing
quality obstetric, gynecology, and primary health care for women.
