Serving the Community
Faculty
and third-year residents on community medicine and interns provide
community service at the Los Angeles Free Clinic, Venice Family Clinic,
Asian Pacific Health Care Venture, and the UCLA Mobile Clinic. Our
residents also regularly staff the UCLA Lennox Health Fair and the
UCLA Synergy Health Fair. Our fellows also perform pre-participation physicals at numerous local colleges and high schools throughout the year.
California State University, Los Angeles
Cal State Los Angeles is a NCAA Division II school with over 21,000 students. The Golden Eagles have 11 teams including baseball, baketball, cross country, soccer, tennis, volleyball, and track and field.
Los Angeles City College Basketball
LACC is a public community college in Hollywood, with one of the most diverse student bodies in the nation. The Cubs have an outstanding basketball tradition with over 25 Southern California Community College Conference championships.
Occidental Football:
Occidental College is a NCAA Division III school offering a variety
of sports and a large body of students that participate in collegiate
athletics and need sports medicine care.
Orthopedic Hospital
Orthopedic Hospital, established in 1922, has been partnered with UCLA for the past 10 years and has more than 60,000 pediatric orthopedic visits per year. It provides the safety net for children in Los Angeles who have no where else to go. Our attendings and fellows provide weekly care there.
Whittier College Football and Lacrosse:
Whittier College, founded in 1887, is a liberal arts NCAA Divsion III school, where our fellows take care of large diverse student-athlete population including coverage for Football and Lacrosse.
