About the Program

The Neurology Residency Training Program at the Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles
Medical Center (LAMC) offers a four-year residency training program
with two residency positions from the PG-1 through the PG-4 year.
The primary site of training is the Kaiser Foundation Hospital
in Los Angeles, and several required rotations are performed at the UCLA
Medical Center. The program has the maximum accreditation awarded by the
ACGME of 5 years.
Under the auspices of nine full-time, hospital-based neurologists, the service is inpatient, consultative, and outpatient, with a broad selection of neurological cases. Residents have full responsibility for evaluation and management of all hospitalized neurological patients under the supervision of the attending staff. Responsibility is progressive, with the senior or chief resident taking an active role in teaching junior residents, interns, and medical students.
